What the inspection looks for
Mud tubes on the foundation, damaged or hollow-sounding wood, and the damp spots that draw termites in. The inspection decides whether you need eradication, prevention or both.
Treating the colony
Whitco's preferred treatment is Termidor, a termiticide that works on the whole colony, not only the tubes you can see. Hollow block foundations, a common way in, are drilled and treated, and the garage and crawl space are covered along with the rest of the house.
Yearly inspections and moisture
Control is checked every year after treatment. Because termites work fastest in wet wood, Whitco also handles crawl-space moisture, and inspects homes being sold or remodeled.
